Coca-Cola: Friendship Box

For Coca-Cola we spoke about its pixel soda before when we talked about how brands are using Metaverse. Coca-Cola also launched its first-ever NFT project called ‘friendship box” with Virtue and Tafi. The auction for the NFT was held and gathered the maximum bid of more than $575,000. With this high of a price, you may be asking, “what are they buying?” The friendship box comes with a digital vintage Coca-Cola cooler with dynamic motion and illumination with three other items inside: a custom-designed Coca-Cola bubble jacket that can be worn in Metaverse, a sound visualizer of iconic and well-recognized Coca-Cola pouring sound, and a 1948 Coca-Cola artwork featuring friendship card. The winning bidder also gets a real-life refrigerator filled with Coca-Cola. The blockchain used in this project is Ethereum.

Gucci has its Metaverse called “Gucci Town” on Roblox. Gucci also owns some space on SandBox. You can see their property on this SandBox Map. Gucci published their first NFTs partnering with 10KTF and Superplastic. The story goes, when the Italian designer and the creative director of Gucci, Alessandro Michele, meets Metaverse World-renowned craftsman Wagmi-san who is most known for making digital accessories in 10KTF (a virtual shop) inside of New Tokyo, a floating city in a digital universe. Alessandro gifts Wagmi san with three digital magic groups that can be bought by only three groups of people, namely people who are members of the Gucci Vault Discord community, PFP holders, and people who live in New Tokyo Metaverse where Wagmi san is located. This magic globe will turn into NFTs and the holders will receive the custom outfit for their digital avatar designed by Gucci X Wagmi-san.
